Digitalization in wire weaving: HAVER & BOECKER relies on the Microsoft Power Platform for fine fabric inspection
The manual inspection of wire mesh – an integral part of everyday production at HAVER & BOECKER OHG – has been placed on a new technological foundation as part of a digitization project. The aim was to make the process more efficient, standardize it and integrate it optimally into the existing IT environment.
In the course of digitizing fine tissue inspection, HAVER & BOECKER has replaced a manual process with an intelligent, digital solution. Today, an individually developed Microsoft Power App supports the inspectors directly at the test bench.
Defects in the tissue are now digitally recorded, classified and displayed in both tabular and graphical form. At the same time, a tethered measuring bridge automatically measures the fabric thickness. The recorded data is then used to create a comprehensive test report, which contains a complete overview of defects as well as a visual evaluation . This is displayed directly in the app and is also made available to customers as a PDF document. The aim of this solution is an objective and comprehensible quality assessment based on the requirements of DIN 9044.
For the implementation of the solution, HAVER & BOECKER relies on a well thought-out technology stack within the Microsoft Power Platform. The individual components interlock perfectly:
The close integration of these technologies resulted in a powerful, scalable solution that is optimally integrated into the existing system landscape.
This is the first paragraph.
