Information on the hazard situation log4j

Dear itmX CRM Community 👋,

in the middle of the Advent season a disturbing message reaches the whole IT world. We at itmX would also like to inform regarding the Log4Shell security vulnerability.

Many messages reach us that analyses and system checks are currently taking place within the server landscapes of our customers. You are probably also in the process of checking your systems and taking measures. This is extremely important because the security hole known as Log4Shell allows attackers to execute arbitrary code on the corresponding server and send manipulated requests. The consequences can be serious.

From the point of view of the Smart Business Client and itmX sales (Win10), there is no need for action. The vulnerable Java libraries are not in use. If you have an Apache server in use within your infrastructure or if you use a reverse proxy, we ask you to be careful! Please check these systems for possible vulnerabilities and contact your IT hosting service provider to discuss measures if necessary.

Aaron Mössner

Aaron has a degree in business informatics and joined itmX, which was then still called ITML, in 2015 in the support area, where he still provides our customers with advice and support every day. As soon as a project is successfully completed and falls within the scope of after-go-live support, Aaron not only handles new requests from the customer, but also takes over the handling of corrective measures in the course of product maintenance through to the implementation of new requirements that have also resulted in changed business processes. He is also jointly responsible for the administration and expansion of the Jira ticket system and the Jira service desk of itmX.

Sören Zinn

Between 2015 and 2018, Sören completed a dual study program with a focus on business informatics at itmX, which was then still called ITML. After successfully completing his studies he gained first project experience at our parent company, NTT Data Business Solutions, where he was responsible for the functional and technical implementation of SAP C4C projects. Since January 2020, Sören is part of the itmX Remote Services team and supports our customers in all inquiries concerning itmX solutions.
