Create Intelligent Chatbots with Power Virtual Agents

Digitalization is also accompanied by changes in the expectations of customers and employees. Employees want to reduce repetitive tasks and optimize their processes, while customers want to use fast self-service at any time and any place. To meet these requirements, chatbots have become increasingly popular in recent years.

But what initially sounds complex and elaborate can nowadays be implemented quickly and easily with the right tools – for example, with Power Virtual Agents from the Microsoft Power Platform.

What is Power Virtual Agents?

As the fourth member of the Microsoft Power Platform, Power Virtual Agents comes full circle alongside Power BI, Power Automate and Power Apps for creating simple applications to address business process issues.

Microsoft Power Virtual Agents is a framework for creating powerful chatbots quickly and easily. The benefits are obvious: you ensure higher process quality through automation and minimize errors, so you can offer your customers a smooth customer journey. In this way, customer satisfaction can be increased in the long term.

Wide range of applications for Power Virtual Agents

Chatbots can be used wherever recurring questions arise. This opens up numerous areas of application, both internally and externally.

  • In the internal context, chatbots are used, for example, for internal knowledge transfer, such as a “talking wiki”. Recurring questions from employees no longer have to be answered by more experienced colleagues, but can be passed on to the chatbot (FAQ bot).
  • The use of chatbots in an external context is quite common. These can be integrated at the very beginning of the customer journey, as the first touchpoint with the company on the website. But chatbots are also increasingly being used in after-sales. Recurring questions can be handled in an uncomplicated way by standardized answers. In the case of complex and individual problems, questions can still be transferred to the customer advisor, who then takes over the processing.
Chatbots can also provide relief in recruiting. A chatbot that is integrated on the careers page, for example, can answer all questions relating to the application and selection process, freeing up the recruiter’s time for other, value-adding topics.

Use Power Virtual Agents quickly and without prior knowledge

To get started with Power Virtual Agents, you don’t need any previous experience. With a guided, graphical experience, no programming skills are required. That means employees can jump right in and build their own chatbot.

An FAQ bot, for example, can be created in no time. Predefined questions and answers are defined and linked together. These can be continuously expanded and supplemented.

If you want to go deeper, you can extend the chatbot with coding using the Microsoft Bot Framework and build your own use cases.
