Modern Workplace & Business Intelligence – a new department introduces itself
Since 01.01.2021 there is a new department “Modern Workplace & Business Intelligence” at itmX. In this short article, I would like to introduce you to what the contents are and what added value this can also create for you.
The path to a new business area
The “Modern Workplace & Business Intelligence” department was created based on our customer feedback and the ongoing market development.
Our goal is to take a more holistic view of your processes and to support you beyond the classic CRM business and CRM processes. In doing so, we focus on two pillars: The modern workplace (“Modern Workplace”) and analytical support through Business Intelligence (“Enterprise Intelligence”), which we combine with our existing philosphy: “The best of both worlds – SAP and Microsoft”.
The 1st pillar – Modern Workplace
The pandemic showed us very clearly how quickly processes can change, and inevitably had to. Digital collaboration has taken on a whole new significance, especially in the areas of marketing, sales and service.
Our goal with the “Modern Workplace by itmX” is to better understand and unify your processes. Often there is still the classic separation between the office applications (e.g. Outlook, Microsoft Teams or Microsoft Office) and the business applications (e.g. SAP ERP ECC or S/4HANA and CRM). In a typical process, such as quotation creation, in many cases work is done in the two worlds completely isolated from each other.
Rarely is complete integration ensured, which considers the process as a whole. But only then does work become really fun for everyone involved.
In addition, automated processes, such as information flows or workflows, can further simplify processes.
In this context, we see ourselves as bridge builders to align your processes along the customer journey and optimize them with a view to the big picture.
The 2nd pillar – Business Intelligence
Every company has become a data collector. Data exists about your customers, partners, suppliers, employees, but also about a variety of your internal processes, such as inbound marketing, sales opportunity or claims processing.
Digitalization means that ever greater volumes of data can be accumulated. But how can these also be understood and interpreted correctly?
It is essential to keep in mind that there is a serious difference between the data that we all have and the information that is associated with it. It is only through proper use and visualization that the data can speak.
Hand on heart: how many of your decisions today are still made “on gut instinct” or “because that’s the way it’s always been done”? How many of your decisions today are truly fact-based and data-driven?
Our mission is to help you understand your existing data, draw conclusions, and sustainably optimize your business and processes. We let your data speak, so you can make better decisions.
In the realization of our use cases, we rely heavily on the Microsoft 365 portfolio and the components of the Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps and Power Virtual Agents).
Sounds exciting? I look forward to exchanging ideas with you!
If you are also looking for holistic processes, then please feel free to contact us/me. We would also be happy to analyze your ideas and wishes informally in an initial meeting.
